Details
Lightweight and ready for racing, Shimano’s SH-M315 Shoes are a perfect complement to the XC course. Heat-moldable insoles deliver a near-perfect fit while the ultra-stiff carbon soles deliver excellent power transfer to the pedals. When you’re laboring up the hills, the ultra-fine Rovenica synthetic leather uppers are breathing just as hard as you, keeping your feet cool and comfortable. Add heel cups to prevent slipping, optional toe spikes, and low-profile micro-adjust buckles and you’ve got shoes ready to go the distance.
Shimano's Custom Fit technology provides a comfortable, glove-like fit to maximize the three components to the pedal stroke: the Pull, the Lift, and most importantly the Drive. Eliminating gaps between the foot and shoe, reducing friction, and stabilizing the foot all add up to one thing: efficient power transfer to the pedals.

In order to mount your pedal cleats to your shoes (cleats are included with new pedals and sold separately), the cleats and shoes must have matching bolt patterns.
There are four cleat configurations found on cycling shoes (diagram): SPD-R, Look/SPD-SL, SPD and Speedplay. Road shoes feature one, two or even three of these. Off-road shoes usually use the SPD pattern. If you're unsure which cleats your shoes require, please ask us. We're here to help!

Comments:
I am a big guy with wide feet and minor bunions and the Shimano SH-M315 are the most comfortable shoes I have owned in my 20 plus years of cycling. The custom fit to MY feet give me a superior comfort level I have not felt in other shoes. I can now ride for hours without pain in my feet. I love these shoes as they are very light, keep my feet cool during the hot Phoenix, Arizona summers and give better power transfer than other shoes I have owned because of the carbon soles. These shoes may be a little more pricy than other shoes but they are worth every penny because you cannot put a price on comfort.
